HEALTH CENTER DELIJSKI VIS OPENED

Residents of Delijski Vis, Palilula, got fully equipped Health center. In newly opened Health Center, apart from general practitioner, a pediatrician will also provide health services. The laboratory department, infusion center, counseling and pharmacy are also opened in this building.

New concept of opening clinics and health stations in Nis, according to the Mayor of the City of Niš Mr. Milos Simonovic, was established at the end of 2008 and functions excellent. This confirms the fact that in a very short period of time five clinics were opened - said the mayor, and citizens in one place can get full medical assistance very close to their homes. Simonovic announced the opening of three new clinics and health stations in Ledena Stena, Branko Bjegovic and Brzi Brod settlements, which will complete the network of clinics in the city. He pointed out that the city showed how to refer to primary health care, making everything that the medical services are closer to those who necessary need them.

According to the president of Palilula - Prof. Igor Novakovic, the opening of health stations in Delijski Vis is a good example of how decentralization of primary health care is performed and also provides that each district develops equally. `I am especially pleased that we achieve last year's promise given to the citizens of settlements of Delijski Vis. During the middle of the next month, a health station in the settlement Ledena Stena will be also opened, so that each part of Palilula get the basic facilities that are not only privilege of central city core. Due to Program of Construction for 2010 Palilula Municipality put aside 130 million RSD, and I hope – said Novakovic, that these funds will be realized with the highest percentage possible in order to improve quality of life of the residents in our municipality`.

Director of the Health Center of Nis - Milan Manojlovic said that with the opening of new clinics and health stations, the central facility of Health Center is in better position, and the citizens get better service in this way. Blagoje Bradic, member of Palilula City Council reminded that in the field of primary health care there are many challenges, especially when it comes to the villages in the territory of Nis. According to his words, City authorities are trying for all the residents of 41 Nis settlements where there are no clinics receive all health services like urban population.

Medical in newly opened health station Delijski Vis can be scheduled by phone number 018 / 274 – 444. The pharmacy works on weekdays from 7 am to 15 pm.

Promotion of health station was also attended by Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, Bojan Ilic, Head of Palilula Municipal Administration and Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council.
